He looks at Cody even with the shades on he seems not to like that question. 
"Had a disagreement in darktown." his voice didint seem to show that he 
cared how odd that sounded with him being white and the fact that few whites 
dared stick their hand inside darktown let alone went through a stroll.

"I defended myself and I aint commited a crime. Besides I just came here for 
a drink then wanna find a place to lay my head for afew." He obviously 
wasint intmidated by police or any sort of authority they waved around. 
Taking another drink of his coke he seems to just wait for them to say or do 
something that sets him off.
