Forwarded on behalf of Jennie. And welcome back, btw!
hey Mitzie :-)
welcome back . . . I'd ask the ST if Christine's long forgotten talisman
(hairclip) can grant her any immunity from Obfuscate/Chimestry, but Spikey
ain't around :-(
regards
Jenniex
Extract from an email from Spikey from several trillion years ago, back when
Christine and her hairclip were created :-)

Sounds sweet! Hmmmm ..... Dragon ..... fly ..... moon ..... OK, its power,
though Christine will be unaware of such is ...... immunity from illusions.
With Changelings in town and with the Harlequin on stage, this will give
Christine an certain edge over most mortals. She can attempt to pierce
illusions such as those created with Obfuscate and Chimestry as if she
were an awakened being. Chimera and Chimestry powers will have a reduced,
and in some cases lack of, effect on her.

>The night had gone by rather quickly for Simone. It was anything but dull.
>
>
>She arrived dressed to the nines, not that it would matter because she'd
>spent the entire evening Obfuscated. She wandered around from group to
>group, not expecting in the least that anyone would be so careless as to
>say
>anything of great importance. At least, nothing worth taking to Montoya.
>Simone took the time to carefully study most everyone with her Auspex. The
>act of reading auras had fascinated Simone from the very beginning and she
>savored each insight as if it were her last to experience. Here and there
>she noted oddities, even going so far as to jot down line to herself in the
>small notepad she carried about with her. There were many here who weren't
>vampires. These she studied too, although with much less personal
>interest... where she came from, only Kindred truly mattered. Though
>she knew better, it was a habit of thought that was hard to break. And
>here, once again, she felt the passage of time. Too swiftly it flew by.
>She itched to drop the obscuring veil and actually join in before it was
>all
>over. A party! She was right there in the midst of it and missing it as
>well- oh the irony! Trying not to feel bitter, she turned her thoughts
>away
>from her own wants and needs to those of the Prince. Simone had been sent
>from France to join Montoya's 'court'. Her relative newness to the scene-
>nay, to this century belied the unique perspective that she could bring to
>him... one difficult to garner from those who themselves were too immersed
>in the present to avoid it's corruption. Of all those here at the party,
>or
>in Gotham for that matter, she had no enemy or ally. No ties, for those
>from the far past had been severed while she was... away. There was a
>truth, that she did have an enemy, though no one individual could be named.
>It was the Sabbat. They who had stolen all from her and and now she was
>here in a time barely familiar to her. Clean slate. New beginning. That
>is what they all said in France as they packed her off to Gotham. If she
>didn't know any better, she'd think they were trying to get rid of her.
>
>As Simone wandered out on to the veranda, for she noted a couple heading
>outside, her thoughts turned again to The Others. She neither met them,
>nor
>even seen them. But there they were in her peripheral thoughts all this
>time. Trapped in time together, in silent agony. For over two hundred
>years, she was told. It was difficult for her to imagine, yet she mourned
>the loss of that time. Who knows how she would be today, had it all turned
>out so differently. She sighed. The man and woman were drunk. She could
>smell the liqueur even from here. And neither were Kindred anyway. With a
>quiet sigh, she turned to go back inside.
