Detective Connolly, Cops, Assorted bystanders
Mortals All
Homicide Crime Scene
After arriving at the scene, Connolly pushed his way
through the crowd to the crime scene tape. He showed
his badge to the bored-looking officer watching the
tape.
As he approached the officers standing near the
victim, he heard them comment, "This guy is a real
monster." Privately, he was inclined to agree, like
the other two scenes, there was a stench of blood in
the air and blood splashed over, well, everything.
"Has the CSI unit arrived yet?" he asked, showing his
ID to the other officers. "Not yet, but we expect
them soon," was the reply.
Looking over the scene, Connolly saw the expected
white rose - soaked in blood, only a single petal
still showing the white color.
Connolly fervently prayed that this case would be
solved soon.
TAG
Even over the chatter of the cops, Connolly could hear
the shocked whispers of the crowd. The cops were
trying hard to keep the ghoulish group back, but the
moment their attention was diverted elsewhere, the
crowd began to once again muscle for position, trying
to catch a picture of the corpse, a picture they knew
could easily be sold to the highest bidder and gain
them those fleeting fifteen minutes of fame.
The CSI unit arrives on the scene, and David DiAntoni
runs a hand through his hair as he gets out. It was
too damn early for this. The rookie tech thinks to
himself. He looks around for his veteran partner. It
was because of him that he'd managed to pull this
important case. Greg Grant was the best CSI in
Gotham.
David follows behind Greg as he looks for Connolly.
All David could see was chaos on both sides of a thin
yellow crime scene tape. Though the cops seemed a bit
more organized.
This Rose Killer thing, it was seriously high profile.
He'd heard the mail clerk buzzing about the
arrival of a large package from the Seattle Police
Department addressed to Connolly. His own research
had told him about a similiar killer in Seattle, and
that the killer's last victim had been a member of the
police Task Force. Those murders, like these, were
currently unsolved.
Grant keeps a cautious eye on his rookie partner. It
was bad timing, having to train the kid on such a
major case, but he was the one on call tonight.
Wading through the uniformed cops, he makes his way to
the ones that were in plain clothes. "Detective
Connolly?" He asks. "Greg Grant, CSI. This is
David DiAntoni, my partner."
