Ariñe, Sachiko
Pooka, Eshu
Upstairs

<< There was still an indication of Ariñe's seemingly eternal distraction.
Before continuing she smilled with laughter in her eyes,

 "Where are we going?"

She paused again, her eyes going back downstairs but focusing on this new
one
 this time.

"I mean, I'm sure Bill and Max and all of them will talk to me. That's not a
problem. I'm just a little - well, not a little, a lot haphazard and I'm not
really sure where to start when I'm not thrown in head first. Any
suggestions?"

She looked back at Sachiko and having noted the way this girl spoke of her
 past lives continued,

"we might need that scrunched up past."

And before Sachiko can get a word out it dawns on Ariñe that she can't go
out
in what she's wearing. The dress was original and delicate, not to mention
she'd freeze her freakin' tale off.

"Give me ten minutes. I need to change really quickly."

and with that she ran off and on her way she passed Raindog and stopped
briefly. Somehow none of this seemed rude or insulting. It seemed very
natural, as
if that was what should happen. She smiled at Raindog, lips softly together
as
she gently squeezed his hand and almost breathed the words,

 "Thank you."

She was, of course referring to him letting... no, wanting her to perform
there and all that entailed. She knew she didn't have to but there was no
thought
of profit or intent. This was just what you or at least she did. She quickly
 dashed off to change.

Sachiko sat down again, drinking her hot chocolate, thinking to herself,
whispering in Japanese.  "Amy, Amy, sounds like you'll get to play."  The eshu
sighed, taking another drink.  "I suppose as long as Sakura doesn't decide to
come in and there isn't any poles nearby, I'll be fine."  She took a long drink,
and began humming to herself.

"'Start the car, I know a whoopie spot,

Where the gin is cold and the piano's hot,

It's just a crazy hall where there's a nightly brawl,"  Sachiko loosened her
bun and shook out her hair as she sang softly.

And... all that jazz...'"  Sachiko adjusted her coat with a smile, her eyes
sparkling.  "I guess accepting it for one night won't be too bad."
  >>

In less than ten minutes, probably half that time Ariñe returned, changed,
and ready to go whever it was they were going. She was now wearing a soft,
cotton jersey dress with a plunging neck line that still managed to keep things
covered, at least up top, not that it was terribly short either just a few inches
above the knee. The dress was very reminiscent of a slinky bit of langerie
but there something about the texture of the fabric that made it sweeter than
that, a little of that girl-next-door phenomina that was rather prevelent in
her. It was black and so were the tights on her legs along with the zip up hoody
she wore unzipped under a blue denim jacket. The jacket had various pins
adorning it like badges of moral authority. One such pin had a picture of the
Crazy Horse Monument in the Dakotas with the words "Honoring a man of conservation
through destruction" writen across it. Another threw on a bit of red with a
cirlced cross out and hunk of beef underneath. These were mixed with a few
indicating her musical influences, which seemed to be much different then what she
had been performing just moment earlier, The Pixies, and Elliot Smith were to
perhaps suggesting that the leap to jazz and blues wasn't that big of one
despite the differences. Another added a bit of that sweetness again with a
picture of Pig Pen and the words "Dirt don't hurt." The other splash of color was
the bright red, high-top chuck's losely laced on her feet. So perhaps this
wasn't the warmest thing she could wear but... There were a couple of buts. First
she didn't really have warm cloths and second... She was well aware of what a
body like hers might allow, certain advantages, though she truely didn't like
taking them sometimes it wasn't so bad. Besides she had a sky blue, cotton
jersey scarff and a black stocking hat to slip on to help with the warmth thing
and tights and this dress was much warmer than that silky, satiny thing she had
just changed out of.

She came quickly up to Sachiko again.

"alright, let's - where are we going? I guess we can find the guys to talk to
them. Any thoughts, suggestions yourself before we run off somewhere?"

she smiled at her.
