There's a soft smile on John's lips as Stephen speaks.
He's enjoying Abby's company, and the vibrations tell
him she's enjoying his.
Her purr, and it definitely is that, is even louder. She’s enjoying the interplay and all the sights and different people/creatures she getting to see here. She takes a deep breath sampling the scents, trying to feather through them looking for traces of who and what is about.
Stephen grins. "I think the Shepherd you've imagined is more proactive
than the one I was describing. But you're right about the... Wolves."
He's confident now that he's amongst the 'good guys,' at least on a
Karmic scale. Perhaps in a more relevant sense, John is simply a 'guy,'
neither good nor directly bad--and his companion is most likely the
same. Kurt Morgan, on the other hand... Kurt is still a mystery. Nekos
supposes that the 'Wolf' euphemism is wise, considering the mixed
company of the affair, but it isn't as if it's a new description of
their kind. Besides, his original analogy was referring to 'Wolves' in a
much broader sense, not at all specific to the Leeches.
Wolves now is it? We got Sorcerors and Warriors, Leeches and Cats, but no Doggies at all? Course this might be a bit outside their comfort zone as it were, smellin’ so much of the Wyrm, as they say. They aren’t much for Secrets for their own sakes from what I seen.

"I don't know if I'd agree with the description of
Shepards. Humanity is capable of taking care of
itself if given the chance. A little help is just
needed every now and then. As for the Wolves," he
chuckled softly, but there was no humor in it,
"perhaps you mean the gentleman Abby and I were
speaking to just a few minutes ago, or one of the
gentlemen, in the gathering by the stairs." John
calmly and subtley indicated a small cluster of
vampires. "Personally, I think I'd prefer a wolf's
company."
“Or even a Mastiff! Mike would be a better conversationalist than that guy a bit ago, the one that has the drink he never touches. Talk about your cold fish!” She shivers for effect.
  All over.
  And laughs again.
