Having a Poker player's senses, keen for subtle details and the
possibility of a tell, Stephen does pick up on the barely audible
rumbling sound. He's all but baffled as to where it might be coming
from amongst the camouflage of the room's din, however, and given the
delicate nature of the current topic he dismisses it from his mind.

about and the Shepherds are here, but the Wolves outnumber the
Sheep." He shakes his head and laughs. "Forgive me, I must sound like
a high school math problem--two trains are approaching Chicago, and
whatnot."
