John smiled and squeeze Abby a little closer to him,
thanking her for the concern.  "Perhaps in that
setting they seem mundane, but who knows what they're
like outside work."

He glances at Abby. "I have no doubt that you have
some fun stories on that subject."

"The mundane are the one's who shape the world, the
quiet farmer who saves the city or the poor urchin who
grows up to lead his country through its darkest hour.
 People like us," he shrugged, indicating all four of
them, "we live in their shadow, enjoying the ride."
