Stephen laughs. "I would never have thought that Colt Mansion was for  
real. Guess it makes sense, though... there's always some truth  
behind a rumor. That's not quite what I meant by 'ridiculous,'  
though--I was referring more to the magnitude of the, mmm, odd,  
people and things you must encounter on a day to day basis in your  
line of work. My colleagues tend to be mundane, if not a bit eccentric."

His careful use of the word 'mundane' is certainly a tip off of John  
catches it--he means it both in the literal and suggestive sense. On  
an unrelated note, Stephen does catch himself grinning at the couple.  
They seem to be genuinely happy with their arms hooked around one  
another, and they make an attractive pair. Their innocent enjoyment  
of each other's company is refreshing to observe.
