"The powers, the new state, they all depend upon the blood of the Dragon yes. Our bodies are still very human, with human motabilism. The Vampires Blood is not human and it has certain properties that make us stronger and faster. Sometimes more pronounced abilities too. But in the end, it is still blood and blood cells have a shelf life. Your body replaces every cell in its entirety every seven days or so, and while the longevity of the vampire blood is somewhat more pronounced, your body will eventually break that down as well. The source of new vampire Blood cells is the vampires themselves."

That he had shifted from half masked terminology to straight talking was not lost on her.
