Nekos smiles at Abby's reply. "Agreed, but fortune is best only for  
the short term. Fate resolves the rest."

His words are, in his opinion, absolute truth. All Chakravanti are  
sworn shepherds of the Great Wheel, engineers commissioned with the  
calculation and implementation of the counterbalances necessary to  
preserve the cosmic balance, and maintain universal karma. The  
Lhaksmists, the sect of the Tradition to which Nekos belongs, tends  
however to place a somewhat exaggerated importance on the workings of  
fortune, the ever-present ebb and flow of Entropy.
