"So, while I'm waiting, why don't you tell me about the rules are and what my 'duties' are. And I'd like a straight answer, Mr.Wolf...for once." She says, folding her arms and staring him straight in the eye. 

"You think I have been less than straight with you up until now?" he askes with a raised eyebrow. "Interesting! Very well then, with no further preamble. Your duties are to live your life, to continue in your career as a Police officer with your eyes opened to the threats you must face. Whenever you come across something that does not seem to be the work of human predalictions, you will report it to us. We will, in turn, share anything with you that will keep you safe or aid in your investigations. After you have taken the sacrement three times you will continue to do so once a month for as long as you serve us, both as an act of community and as away to maintain the powers we have invested in you. We will attimes interfere in your life when we see fit, to protect you and to keep you from the darkness. You will accept that while you have been awakened to the Night, none like us can percieve the myriad layers of the Jyhad as our Lords do and so you will at times trust implicatly in thier guidance and commands."

He goes to the door and opens it, letting in the stark light of the corridor.

"And I am sure it goes without saying that you will tell no-one of your membership in the Order. As difficult as it will be, you cannot tell even your partner or your lovers. Rememebr how you first felt when I told you we worked for Vampires? That is how every single human reacts. You do not want to have to see the look in thier eyes that I had to see in yours!"
