The stare was relatively brief but would have had a flicker of almost
uncomfortable intensity. John seems like a fairly perceptive
individual, it's unlikely that he missed it. However, as Spikey
indicated, it would be easy to excuse as mundane behavior.
The very last thing I have to bring up on this one is: Does Stephen's
"Read Surface Thoughts" rote allow him to "hear" the results of
John's "Judge the Soul" as well, or is that not within the scope/
duration of Stephen's quick spell?
