and with a roar of two Harleys, they moved off to the
West.

After a couple of hours riding, Maria pulled into a
rest area on the Highway.  Following, Cash pulled up
beside her, turning off the bike.  "Antonia can be a
bit full of herself," Maria started, "but she thinks
that she needs to be to hold her place as Prince." 
She looked Cash over with and appraising look.  "You
haven't done _too_ badly with the gift I gave you, I
have been watching from the shadows.  I was hunting
when Antonia sprung her trap - I'm sorry about that." 
She didn't _sound_ sorry, but Cash would take what he
could get - then he thought, if she was watching, then
what _else_ did she see?  And why didn't she act
sooner?

These questions would have to wait, they needed to get
to somewhere they could spend the day, and soon, Cash
was starting to feel hungry, and a hungry vampire is
not a good thing.
