Ariñe, Booker
Pooka, piano man
Raindogs
Ariñe was happy to play away slidding in and out swinging over and under
Booker's notes but then she found herself gazing across the room at the rather
impressive force that made sure all stayed well and a song struck her. Okay, if
she had seen this in a movie she would have been disgusted and totally turned
off because it was a little more than cheesey but... She smiled over to Booker
and to him sang,
"You look at me and then a song begins
Fantastic, fantastic, that's you, yes"
It was, of course the Louie Armstrong's "Fantastic that's You."
The played together, Booker on the keys, Ariñe with violin, skipping with
eachother, stopping to play a game of leap frog as their sounds hoped into the
next song. They play into the song several bars until Ariñe looks at Booker and
gives him a signal to stop just for a moment. It was that kind of
communication musicians seemed to have with each other. She didn't speak or mockingly cut
her throught or anything like that but she gave a slight kind of nod and her
eyes directed him. She had certainly had spent a great deal of time absorbing
other people's body language to be able to play and perform so well. That's how
it had to be done.
She began to sing with nothing behind her just the noise of the lively crowd.
"You look at me and then a song begins"
The music starts loud and bosterous. It was a joke after all. She knew it was
a little...
"Played on a million velvet violins
My head goes reelin' and around it spins
Fantastic, fantastic, that's you, yes"
and the music took center stage again.
...tag...
(OOC: I was going to do this in peaces so that Sachiko can come in but if you
want to take it a little longer I'll finish this and start another song for
her entrance, doesn't matter to me.)
