>The Prince looks around, his face shows him pondering which is the lesser of two evils and finally he looks back at Mara.
Mara watches the Prince consider his options and is pleased that his choice was to speak with her. Mortal fundraising held far less importance than Clan business. Besides, the night was still rather young. There was time enough to meet with potential benefactors.
With a glance to Devlin, and an excuse me to Crosby, Mara follows Montoya up the stairs. She smiles, recalling other nights, other parties, where she had gained a private audiences with people that she wanted or simply needed to talk to. She hoped that this one would be successful.
>"Folow me, there is a second floor dining room just across the hallway here!" he leads up the remainder of the stairs and into said hallway. Knocking once and then trying the door he leads her into a small room with a table and chairs and several bunches of flowers in vases. A salon as they used to call them. "Yes, this should give us some privacy for a while. And so ...?"
Now that they were alone and with some privacy, Mara switches to the use of Spanish. Her second language, to be sure, but she was taking no chances, and intended not to use any overtly vampiric phrasing. A private room in someone else's house was very rarely a guarantee of privacy.
"I think that my Clan needs representation." Mara replies. "I have only just learned tonight that Senor Guiness' former home is already being divided up. While it is true that most of my kind have little interest in business matters, the Clan should have been given at least some warning about this." Admittedly, at the moment, there was no one TO warn, but that was beside the point. The former Primogen's Domain should have been respected...or at least protected.
