Mara hangs on the Prince's arm, continuing to speak to him softly in his native tongue.  Spanish sounded so much more pleasant than English when spoken in this manner.  She allows him to lead her to Etienne, knowing that the hour was growing late, for both Kine and Kindred... 
 
Montoya led them from room to room, having to deal with the social niceties in each. However it was becoming clear that Ettienne was not in any of the usual haunts. 

Montoya stepped intot he garden, onto a secluded and private balcony at one side of the building only to tut that Ettienne was not here either.

"You've had dealings with Melcom before you came to Gotham?" he suddenly asked out of the blue.
