Jack
Sinclair mansion
Midnight

>Instantly he spots Mara with a tall and dashing
looking man at the foot of the stairs. They appear to
be talking to another gentleman with a ramrod straight
back and a jutting chin.

>Closer to him the group of five people breaks up as a
couple make their farewells and leave. That left a
buxom woman and two men.

>Though the place was busy with people walking in and
out, he saw no sign of Aurora and Mitsuko.

“Fuck.” Jack mumbles, cigarette hanging between his
lips, and swirls the ice cubes around his empty glass.
Mara was occupied with her companions, intent on
continuing what appeared to be a serious conversation.
Best not to disturb her. As grateful to her as he
was for saving his skin, Mara could be talking to a
few of her fellow leeches and, to be honest, the
undead made Jack nervous.

He wandered into the depths of the crowd, this time
searching for anything of a nature akin to his own.
Mitsuko had made a trio of the ladies’ party this
evening and, if he couldn’t find Aurora, he could
certainly try to suss out the location of a fellow
spirit (perception 4, enigmas 2).

(OOC: As he moves around the room, Jack isn’t
bothering to disguise what he is, in case there’s
anyone with spirit sense in the vicinity.)
