Mara returns Hochfart's goodbye with insincere politeness.  She hoped secretly they'd never cross paths again.  She always felt...dirty after she dealt with Melcom.  

>Montoya allowed Mara to end the conversation and nodded towards the interior of the house in agreement. Only when they had left Hochfart's hearing did he speak. And when he did so it was in Spanish again and in a hushed tone.

>"I had never before appreciated the benefit of Brujah diplomacy. I am sure you just saved me a very long and boring interlude with Mr Hochfart and another lecture on Melcom's soaring sucess. They may be a great benefit to the city and to my domain, but they are such tireless self promoters. Always trying to cut you in on the deal of the century and dropping hints about what they can do for you. Thank you!"

Mara can only smile.  Most Kindred tended to think the term Brujah diplomacy an oxymoron.  But in the end, it had nothing to do with diplomacy, and everything to do with wanting to get herself and the Prince away from the slimeball!  But to his statement, she replies.  "De nada."  She wasn't about to tell the Prince her opinion on the city's perceived 'saviors'.  

Mara hangs on the Prince's arm, continuing to speak to him softly in his native tongue.  Spanish sounded so much more pleasant than English when spoken in this manner.  She allows him to lead her to Etienne, knowing that the hour was growing late, for both Kine and Kindred...
