"You could say we have ceded from the Nobility for the most part, although this Court was traditionally a Fionna holding. When our leader, Raindog, left his house and broke off formal relationships, so did we. We are more of a Motley these days, even though we do still have our Lord." He smiled and shrugged.

Pritchel stops dead for a few seconds.  "Well... please excuse me if I'm wrong here, and I'm not a huge fucking expert on the nobility and all that, but doesn't that make your 'Lord' a goddamn fucking oathbreaker?" 

The Troll tensed. His nostrils flared.

"That it does!" he said with a deep growl. "And me and Jaywick too for that matter. We Broke an Oath to the House in order to keep our Oath to the Kith."
