John smiles sadly. It's a look he's seen before. "If
you ever need help my dear, all you have to do is ask.
Don't misunderstand me; I'm not seeking anything in
return. What I'm offering you is no different than
what I would offer anyone else."

Her awareness returns to the here-and-now. She looks at him with a gentle little smile and leans in close.
  "The Bar is a step up for me. Not on some windy corner anymore if you take my meaning. And there're those that got my back. I'd be honored to count you among them." Her voice is soft, almost a whisper. Barely enough to for him to hear
  She takes a sip of the Champagne, wrinkling her nose. The bubbles tickled.
  She's decided to trust him.
  "Now is not the time for tell-alls though. Later, in more privacy would be better. Just as we've been checking these out, I suspect they've been returning the favor." She tosses her head towards a some of the crowd behind her.
   
  OOC she is very streetwise and alert, 3 and 3 if you will, although this not the street she is still quite good at reading people.
