Detective Connolly
Mortal
GPD HQ

Connolly watched the man leave the room, after the
door closed, he turned to the two-way mirror and said,
"What do you think?" "Sounds like he really wasn't
involved, he didn't mention last night's killing,"
came a fuzzy voice from an intercom. "That's true,
but I didn't ask about it," Connolly replied, "Still,
I'll check his alibi - the lady's card didn't give an
employer, still I'll check the number. Club Harlequin
may not be necessary to check."

Connolly gathered up his notes from the interrogation
and retruned to his desk. Putting the folder on the
desk next to a new one labeled 'White Rose killings'
he combined the contents of the two folders. Turning
to his computer, he uses a reverse-lookup on the phone
number, revealing that it was from Melcom. Connolly
whistled, and reached for the phone. Carefully
dialing the number, he waited for the woman to pick
up. "Miss Unfeusceit's office," the voice on the
other end answered. "This is Detective Connolly,
Gotham PD Homicide, can I please speak to Miss
Unfeusceit?" he asked with both care and politeness.
"One moment," the person on the other end said, and
after being on hold briefly, a woman's voice picked
up, "Miss Unfeusceit, how can I help you detective?"
she asked. "I just had an interview with Joshua Cash,
he was seen leaving the scene of the murder in the
park Thursday night, he claims to have been talking to
you at the time of the killing..." Connolly began.
"Absolutely," Miss Unfeusceit interrupted, "We had
been discussing business dealings. If you even think
that he was involved, think again, if you continue to
pursue this course, I will suggest to Mr. Cash that he
pursue legal action for defamation of character - and
I will appear as a witness on his behalf!" Well, that
cleared up his involvement, and Gordon wouldn't like
to see the kind of legal action Melcom could bring
their way, maybe just let it die - but still, Mr. Cash
should be watched. "Uh, Thank you ma'am," Connolly
finished, "I just had to check his alibi - just
procedure, Thank you again for your time." "I
understand, Detective," she says, "I'm always willing
to help the police in these matters, Good Night."
With that the phone goes dead.

OOC: Spikey told me about the second killing after my
last post. Is this about the response that you had in
mind for Miss Unfeusceit?
