> She leans in close to John's ear, whispering.
> "I may have lost a customer but that was rare fun
> indeed. He'll not dare raise a ruckus about us

John chuckled at the thought. A little harmless fun
was always a good way to start an evening. He doubted
the money would ever make it to the charity. Pity,
that, but the night was young.
> Her laugh is musical, soft and wild.
> "And you do indeed know how to show a girl a good

> The Bastet is pressing close enough to him that he

Again, John enjoys the sensation, her body against
his, the way she seems to almost pur. He grabs two
glasses of champaign from a passing waiter, handing
one to her.
He turns to face her and raises his glass in toast.
"I have a feeling I'm going to have to pull out all
the stops tonight." He takes a drink. It's not too
bad, but a good beer would be better. "In my long
life, I've been honored to escort beautiful women,
such as yourself, to many wonderful places, but it's
rare that I get to share company with a shifter.
Feline, yes?"
