John smiles. "I'm suppose to speak with the mayors
wife at some point this evening. I'll be sure to tell
her of your commitment to the betterment of the
Gotham. Your generousity is appreciated."

John sense that perhaps he's gotten as much fun out of
these two as he's going to. However, Abby might be in
a better position to try and apply a little pressure.

He was enjoying himself, immensely, and he glanced
over his shoulder to see how Matt was doing.

Abby smiled sweetly at the couple, seemingly oblivious to the snide comment of the Matron. 
  "You can be sure that your generosity is Truly Appreciated. John shall we mingle some more?"
  As they turn away Abby catches her victims gaze and winks mischieviously at him. She takes care that the winking eye is on the side away from his wife's view.
  She leans in close to John's ear, whispering.
  "I may have lost a customer but that was rare fun indeed. He'll not dare raise a ruckus about us tonight." 
  Her laugh is musical, soft and wild.
  "And you do indeed know how to show a girl a good time."
  The Bastet is pressing close enough to him that he can feel as well as hear that thuttering hum again.
   
  Tag, tag, tag, who's got the tag?
   
  "Life is Short, let Love be Long."
