Ash leads her down to the car and holds the door open while she climbs in. Once seated beside her he indicates for the driver to drive off.

Pulling out of Dusk, they glide across the open car park and head towards the road. Ash leans forward, apparently about to whisper something when he stops.

His face grows darker and his eyes are focussed outside the car. for a moment Allesandra sees the Vampire that Ash works so hard to cover up, and is reminded that he is every bit the monster she is.

"Isn't that the fellow who spoke to you at the Harlequin's the other night?" he asks.

When she looks, Allesandra does indeed see Stefan Porchenko leaning against a lamp post on the street and watching them. He makes no attempt to cover the fact that he has been keeping Dusk under surveillance.
