John sighed.  "My dear, dear lady, tax write-offs are
merely a side benefit of what's possible.  You're
husband has spoken to us about donating a sizable
amount of money to help the city's poor, providing
them with food!  Why, I'm sure that when the mayor
finds out about his generousity, doors are sure to
open."

"Think about it!  A child that's been fed will not be
such a problem at school.  They will study harder, do
better, make the city look good, turn it into a model
for the country."

He smiled.
