> "You truly have a gift Ariñe!" raindog says when the song is done. "and you
> reinterpretation of such works does your Kith proud! I think perhaps we
> ought to put you on the payroll, you're already doubling my takings."
>
> The Sidhe nods to the bar downstairs and the crowds of customers gazing up

Ariñe paused as the song ended, holding onto it before the feelings slipped
out into the night. She slowly opened her eyes, which were painfully sad, no
sad was the wrong word. They were melencholly but painfully so. Anyone off stage
and probably those on would think she was simply feeling the song but those
with a bit more empathy might see that it was something more. She had always
connected with that song. Perhaps it was to do with how she grew up. She knew
what it was like to have nothing. She was one of the lucky ones though, at least
she had always had love in her family even if they had nothing else. And she
knew that was better, better then a good majority of people got but a part of
her still couldn't except how unfair it was. Her father had deserved so much
more and still did. May be someday that was something she could let go of.
Maybe then though she wouldn't be able to perform that song the same way again.

She turned, seeing the kids she smilled warmly at them then looked towards
Raindog with another soft smile her lips together. Then looking to Booker she
sighed and smiled again. Clearly it was time for a little bit of a mood change
though knowing how things went it was best to stay with something close to the
same tempo as the song before. Usually they played best if you put to slower
songs together then sped it up. Now it was time for some of that good old
fashioned, original Chicago blues. If only they had a slide guitar player. Well her
own violin playing would have to do. it of course would more than suffice and
it wasn't something one heard everyday, a slide violin? She was up to try
pretty much anything that was part of the reason everything usually worked.

"How about a little Elmore James 'cause "The Sky is Crying."

She turned back to the audience as Booker continued to play slidding
seemlessly into the new song. She spoke at first,

"So been outside reccently? It's a little hard to tell from in here but I do
believe the sky is cryin,"

she paused and smiled.

"Just look at the tears roll down the street."

She stepped back, letting the music overtake the room for a while. Her
playing rolling right along with Bookers. Then she began to sing,

"The sky is cryin, look at the tears roll down the street.
I'm wadin in tears lookin for my baby,
And I wonder, where can he be?

I saw my baby one mornin, and he was walkin on down the street.
I saw my baby one mornin, and he was walkin on down the street.
Made me feel so good, so good, so good"

She gave a smile to the crowd that suggested something far more invovled then
a walk down the street.

"Until my poor heart would skip a beat.

I got a bad feelin, my baby, my baby don't love me no more.
I got a bad feelin, my baby don't love me no more.
Now, the sky's been cryin,
The tears rollin down my nose."
