> Christine wanders over and peers over Aurora's shoulder at Mitsuko's
> shoe collection. She whistles softly.
>
> "Wow!" she breathes awed, as she takes in the range of shape, height,
> material, colour and level of ornamentation. Sublime and ridiculous.
> Shoes. Surely every woman's downfall. Every woman's folly.
> "Respect!" she grins at Mitsuko Miya then she spots a pair of elegant
> ivory silk shoes with a medium heel and a silk buttoned ankle strap.
> They look like a perfect match in both colour and era for Aurora's
> flapper's dress. Were those shoes there a second ago? Christine
> frowns slightly then lets it go. Who cares if it's a bit of a freaky
> coincidence? The shoes *are* perfect.
>
> She points them out to Aurora. "It's got to be those," she comments.
> She smiles again at their host, the enigmatic and gorgeous Ms
> Mitsuko. "Can she try them to see if they fit?"
"Sure!" The daughter grins even more. The whole girly escapade seeming
to fill her with joy.
Aurora smiles, "Thank you." They do fit, though she looks slightly
uncomfortable, as though she never wears any kind of heel, wobbling
slightly before getting the hang of it.

> Christine's gaze wanders until she notices a pair of low heeled,
> white satin shoes with high tops and ornamental bronze buckles. Fairy
> tale shoes, right enough, but more Prince Charming than Cinderella.
> As she looks closer she sees that the intricate buckles have a

>
> "Hey," she says, "those look like they were meant for this outfit.
> May I . . . ?"
"I think they were made for you .."

> Christine smiles again at Mitsuko. She tries not to stare but it is

Mitsuko bends and helps Christine into the shoes. Clearly loving the
act and giggling constantly at the impossibility of female attire. As
she finished she looks up at Christine with a quizzically raised
eyebrow.
"Who is the dead lady outside?"
[Aurora]
Aurora looks right at Christine, her eyebrows raised... oddly, her
eyes change from a blue-green to an amber in an instant.
[Christine]
Christine feels her heart miss a beat. She stares at Mitsuko and
wonders who she is and how she knows.
"The lady is Mara Ravenclaw," Christine says after a pause. "She is
my . . ." Christine hesitates because she really doesn't know what to
fill the blank with. Until a couple of days ago, Mara was the centre
of her whole life on every level. "She is a lawyer, a good one. A
crusader, fighting for the vulnerable and the abused. She's also a
vampire," Christine flickers a glance at Aurora. She really ought to
have mentioned that before, she realises but, well, she didn't. "I
belonged to her up until yesterday . . . the day before yesterday. I
was her, y'know, minion. Ghoul."
Christine isn't sure if she needs to add anything else. She could say
much more but most of it is personal and private.
[Aurora]
Aurora's eyes shift again, now to green, though simply green, not a
true blue-green hue as before.
[Mitsuko]
"Oh!" Mitsuko says with a shrug and returns to fastening the shoes. It
seems as though the explanation is perfectly satisfactory tot he young
lady. Sitting back she takes in the shoes, the whole ensemble. "They
really work, you look great!"
[Aurora]
The Daughter didn't seem to have an issue with it though... which
means whoever it is outside that Christine came with isn't a threat...
at least for now. Her only teachings of the other supernatural beings
have been the awknowledgement that they existed, and to leave them
alone, especially the vampires. Werewolves were another matter, but
that was her Tradition talking. She'd never actually met one of those
yet either.
Looks like the vampire meeting would come sooner than she'd probably like.
[Christine]
Christine smiles faintly at Mitsuko. "Thanks. For everything." She
looks across at Aurora and hopes the Dreamspeaker isn't too mad at
her.
[Aurora]
She seems to be in contemplative thought of Christine, though also
relaxed and curious rather than showing signs of anger.
[Christine]
"We both look spiffy fine, I think. Hey!" Christine's attention swings
back to Mitsuko as a sudden idea occurs to her. "Do *you* want to come
to this party? It'll be full of the idle rich and their toadies,
arrogant men, superficial women, dull conversations and I expect the
music will be crap but . . . never know! Maybe it'll be fun! More fun
than . . . " Christine glances significantly around at the composed
and orderly Temple quarters then grins at Mitsuko, Cheshire Cat style.
Mara is going to kill me, thinks Christine suppressing a bubble of
reckless laughter, but what the fuck? Live fast, die young, annoy the
hell out of people on the way. "Bet you got a killer high society
outfit in there, Mitsuko," coaxes Christine indicating the enormous,
well stuffed wardrobe. "C'mon. It'll be a blast."
Christine checks her phone suddenly for time. "Aw, shit!" she says,
thinking of Mara, still waiting outside. "Ladies," says Christine
glancing at both Aurora and Mitsuko. "Are we doing this thing? If we
are, let's get moving."
[Aurora]
Aurora nodded, "I would like to meet your companion, that's for
sure... and I guess... my companion on this evening. Mitsuko?" She
didn't seem angry, surprisingly, at the moment, though she clearly
wanted to move past it as well.

((OOC: I'm assuming that Aurora's time at the temple not in game
would have taught her the name the Daughter had chosen for herself. To
speed reading, I've merged via copy-paste the past couple threads and
added my own short comments.))
