[Sodium_noir] Late Saturday- Girls Night Out- Neon City

Mike's

John sits there a moment in stunned silence, before
finally muttering "wow." He moves towards them with a
soft smile on my face. "Yes, you most definately make
the grade."
  Again he offers his arm to each of them and escorts
them back to the BMW.
   
  They both smile and take an arm.

The trip to Mike's Place - Rare Books and Occult
Supplies, takes another 20 minutes. He parks in back
and ushers the girls to the door. The alley is quiet,
but well lit. An eye can be seen on the door as he
unlocks it. "Sorry to take you in through the back,
but I'd hate for my customers to get distracted." He
ushers them into the backroom, a small but clean
storage area.

On the floor nearby are a collection of boxes, a
coffin, and various oddities - the material from Kahn
Akril delivered by Titus Bane. They walk to two
doors, both locked, and John opens one to reveal
stairs leading up.
   
  Abby is intensly curious about all this, but works really hard not to let it show.

The three of them climb several flights of stairs
until they reach his apartment, a small but clean
place. There are the basics, TV, computer, couch,
lamps, even a fireplace. Lying in front of it is a
large grey mastif.

The dog leaps to its feet with a start as they enter,
and seems to walk warily pace the room eyeing all
three of them. "I'll be right back." John moves into
a bedroom and shuts the door.

Alone with Mike, Abby and Shelli notice the dog eyeing
them both. They can sense what it's thinking, like he
was speaking aloud "I'm not sure I like you, and if I
don't I can take you both down, but that would require
a lot of work and I'm really not up to that much
effort."

The decision made, Mike jumps on the couch and seems
to make a point of stretching out to prevent either
lady from sitting. Before either of them can react,
he starts to snore.
   
  Shelli and Abby look at Mike, then each other.
  "Sure we've just been dissed by Mike Himself!"
  "I feel honored."
  They both laugh softly and settle in front of the fire. Abby especially keeps an eye on Mike.
