"Gotham Police Department, how may I address your
call?" the cool female voice on the other end of the
line asked. "Could I please have Detective...Connolly
please, if he's in," Cash replied, checking the
article for the name of the detective. "He's on
another call right now, can I ask what this is in
reference to?" the voice on the other end of the line
asked.

Here it goes..."I think that he may want to talk to me
about the killing in the park Thursday night, the
composite in the Herald looks a lot like me." This
got her attention, "Could you please hold on sir, I'll
get him as soon as possible." "I'll hold on," Cash
replied, 'for a while, I do have other things to do
tonight' he thought to himself. The operator put him
on hold, standard elevator music, designed to lull you
into a false sense of security, it wouldn't work on
Cash.

After a couple of minutes, a voice picked up,
"Detective Connolly, I understand that you may have
some information about the killing in the park
Thursday night, Mr...." Connolly started. "Cash,
Joshua Cash," Cash replied, they certainly had his
cell number, and probably were triangulating this call
to find his location. "I am willing to come in and
give you a statement about the killing, or at least
what I saw," he quickly added, "I didn't think that
you would need my statement, with all the others
around, so I left. The scene was upsetting me." This
was true, to an extent, the scent of human blood had
been beginning to affect him.

Connolly paused, "Could you come to the station in
about," another pause, he was probably checking the
time, "say, half an hour?" "No problem," Cash
replied, checking his Gotham Map, there was plenty of
time. "Thanks, when you arrive, ask the Desk Sergent
for me. Thanks again for you assistance." he
finished.

'Yea, right, I'm doing this out of my civicly minded
heart,' Cash thought, hanging up the phone, well time
for a drive, before a cruiser catches up with me here.
