>But she was holding herself quite well in his prescence, he admired that.
>"I 'ave all sse time in sse world. All sse time." He said more to himself than to her.
>"'ow long will ssiss dinner take, mon coeur?" He shot her his best and
>most reassuring smile, not the sinister one that people usually see of him.
"Not long at all hun" She said, relaxing a little and falling back on the tricks of the trade. "He's already on his way over, and he drives offensively if you get what I mean?" The Blonde leaned forward on the bar, despite her feelings of trepidation she'd never once missed an opportunity to let her perfect cleavage show. Her natural assests not only kept her fed, they could often keep her safe as well if used right.
>"Maybe give me one of ssosse fine ssigarss you 'ave. Might make sse wait sseem
>a little shorter." Goldie gave him a cigar, which he lighted, intently looking at the flame.
>A hiss began to drone deep inside him getting stronger and louder, as he let the
>lighter stay lit longer than was necessary. In the subdued light inside the bordello
>and the lighter's flame illuminating his face it seemed as if his eyes had taken on a
>golden sparkle.
Goldie watched the act intently. Her body language making Maurice feel attended to. The centre of her attention. Not a new or unusual feeling for a creature of his standing, a Loa on earth. Much of it was instinct, but the eyes captured her attention. Naturally she compared him to Panic. With his own freaky eyes, that colour shift thing. First time she'd seen that she thought it was an acid trip, a flashback.
But once you spent time at the Dragon, the unusual started to seem less ... unusual.
>With a loud clack he closed the lighter and as abruptly as the hiss receeded his eyes
>looked perfectly normal, a deep and dark brown. He took a long puff and surveyed the
>bordello. He noticed a few of the 'guests', most of them had the air of affluent Uptown
>about them. He took in the whores presenting themselves, noticing their ethinicities.
>He turned around to the barmaid once more. "Tell me, ma chérie sans nom, I 'ave been
>to quite a few..." He stopped from saying whorehouses. "etablisssementss like ssiss.
>But ssome'ow ssiss 'ousse 'ere sseemss to be ssome'ow different. Why iss ssiss sso?"
"Oh, we're different alright baby!" She said, breathing in his smoke and letting a an expression of satisfaction come over her. "Our boy, Panic, he's a sweetie. He's got ideas about the game, very different ideas from the average Pimp. It's because he was raised by .... women of a certain profession." The last phrase is clearly something she had heard others use rather than her own way of speaking.
