*>"Mysterious chanting and a meeting with a lady? How could I refuse."

Mara smiles.  She knew that she'd be able to strike the right chords with
him.

>"But I gotta see a dog about a man tonight, maybe I could meet up at
Sammie's diner
>just after sunset tomorrow if it suits?"

"I'm afraid I have another engagement for tomorrow night, but the lady might
be able to meet you.  Hang on and I'll ask her."  She covers the phone and
looks at Arkana.  "He can meet with you tomorrow at Sammie's diner, or would
you rather give him a copy of the tape to listen to during the day?"

Arkana ponders for a moment or two, smoke expelled through her nostrils,
"Sammie's tomorrow", she makes her decision, and waits for Mara to end her
call.  Now that the tape chase was over for the moment she wondered what
would come next, and so she waited.
