Located in the rack was a small building, only five
stories, owned by Sara Grey. Sara did not really
exist. She was a name only, but she had been kind
enough to rent the storefront, basement, and top floor
of the small apartment building to her dear friend,
John Black.
At the moment, John was in the process of putting away
the supplies he had gotten in Tokyo. Tommy was
calling two buyers, who promised to stop by later in
the evening (one would be in soon after sunset;
interesting. After he finished putting away some of
the basics, he went and checked on the items Titus had
delivered, making sure they had not been touched.
Mike had settled himself ontop of one of the boxes and
was snoring contently. The box had cave in slightly
but the dog didn't seem to mind.
"Stupid dog."
In the back room, Carthphius unlocked a heavy oak door
and went down into the basement. At the bottom of the
stairs was a second door, steel, which he unclocked
and openned.
Inside this vault John kept his work table, several
priceless artifacts, his journals, various documents,
and his computer. He took Hiro's skull and placed it
on one of the cherrywood shelves. His friend's
presence was gone, moving on to whatever places in the
underworld he called home.
The Roman tapped the box once and said softly "Until
next time, my friend."
He switched off the lights, resealed the door, and
went back upstairs.
"Tommy. I'm going to be in the back cataloguing some
of the items dropped off earlier. Holler if you need
me."
John kicked Mike off the boxes, took out a notepad and
pencil, and began going through the items one at a
time.
