The magical energies that Aurora prepares to imbue Jack with are met by strong energies of their own. She can sense that Spiritually Jack is blazing with Ephemeral energy. But her meagre grasp of the Life Sphere does reveal that his wounds are very much in the physical state. Infection has set in to the poorly dressed wounds on his limbs and his body in approaching shock from slow bloodloss over a long period of time. 

In short, there is life in the wounds. Tiny, simple microscopic life that is growing in the warm and well fed environment and Jack's body is desperately trying to attack the invaders and that's what is making him weak. 


((OOC:  I'm assuming, BTW, that Aurora is still attached slightly to
the node from her ritual, she should still be at her Avatar's max, but
no more.  I'd intended her to have been starting to store extra in her
pattern during that day after exhausting her supply the previous
night.))

The Monks parted and an elderly man in the same orange robes came through the doorway behind them. His arrival seemed to galvanize Mitsuko who had withdrawn from the things Aurora's dance attracted. Now she hurried to the serene gentleman and began to explain what was going on quickly and excitedly.

"He's called Jack ... and we found him outside .. and he's all cut up .. and sick ... full of gunk ....."

Shang Mio patted her hand and calmed her with a soothing sound. Looking to Aurora and Christine, hardly even glancing at Mara, but not taking any action.
