Hiram sat placidly as the conversation took place around him. His mind had
slowly wandered down another path, and he found himself contemplating
ancient equations on primal wave conversion. His research into zero-to-one
wave had finally been kickstarted when he found an old papyrus that had
seemingly been penned by none other than Imhotem himself. A loft tutor
indeed, he thought as he came back to the conversation...
"Me, I like meeting interestin' people as well. But my vocation is
Entertainment. Dancin' is my Art." She gives a little pout; "The only thing
lackin' here is Music."
"That can be arranged," Hiram said as he reached into the pocked of his
grey tweed coat. A second later he produced a small gold object and thumbed
a small switch on its side. A light jazz song was suddenly produced with a
trumpet bopping up and down the scale.
...The hulk stared at the back of Dr Lazarus head with a smirk while Matt
delivered his punchline with aplomb and had the whole room lost to laughter...
John's eyes had moved away from the gathering when Abby's hand tightened on
his arm. He glanced at her and smiled before returning his attention to
the doctor and Sandra. "It looks like Dr. Lazarus has another
admirer. There's a gentleman taking an unusual interest in the back of you
head. Does anyone know anything about him?"
Hiram's expression darkened at the news.
"His name is Zorn," he said with barely masked disdain, "he's the chairman
and CEO of Melcom International, and also a man of dubious humanity."
He took a deep breath, then looked up at 'Sandra'.
"Shall we," he asked offering a hand with the intention of dancing as he
put the small object back in his pocket, which strangely didn't dampen the
music.
(Hey, Joe, where you goin' with that TAG in yo hand...)
