Giger Greenville
Apprentices of Clan Tremere
Chantry

With Elizabeth sitting next to him in the front
passenger seat, Giger leaves the Chantry, spurning the
homogeneity of suburbia for the vast unknown of Neon
City. He’d taken the time to map the route to
Raindogs, so while he knew it was a fairly lengthy
drive, given the time of night, they should be able to
make it in good time, though a trip to the Harlequin’s
would be far shorter.

But in the end, it seemed that Montenegro wasn’t going
to lift a finger to help her, especially now that she
had spurned his advance. It was therefore, up to him
to see to her comfort. He had read the letter
Montenegro had handed him at length last night, after
they had returned from meeting the Prince at Gotham
Towers. It proved most interesting reading. She was
as she’d said, a neonate elder, awakened only in
recent months, and under the protection of the Regent
of London, who claimed her as ‘pet’ and ‘project’.
She was required to speak with him at least once a
week so that he could continue his study of her.

But as for the reason for sending Elizabeth, the
Regent’s reasoning was a bit
obtuse. She had been
taken from her escort one evening, and it was only
through great effort that she was safely returned to
the Chantry, though she’d been sleeping and revived
within a few day’s time. Vague mention was made about
Elizabeth’s unusual feeding preference, really little
more than an instruction to speak with her, and make
arrangements as needed.

The letter closed with a stern warning to Montenegro
to keep Elizabeth safe. As he recalled, Lord Henry
Waters was a Regent of no less than the Fifth Circle.
It would be most unwise for a First Circle Regent
enjoying his first Chantry to piss him off. And yet,
Montenegro had repeatedly ignored Lord Waters, even
passing the letter off on him after just the most
cursory glance. His first assignment may yet prove to
be his last, and there were certainly more than enough
Tremere in the Pyramid eager to take Montenegro’s
place if he should fall.

The drive to Neon City was relatively painless. At
least compared to traffic in Baltimore, which was
perpetual gridlock at any time of night. The place
Montoya had spoke of, Raindogs, was not hard to
locate, and probably would have been even without the
use of Auspex. The bright red neon letters were like
a beacon in the darkness of the mostly closed and
sometimes abandoned storefronts. The lot was neither
empty nor full, something close to half-full. Being
Embraced had failed to dissuade him from being an
optimist.

Giger chooses a spot underneath a light and stops the
car. He exits his door and then goes around to help
Elizabeth out. Holding the door open for her, Giger
extends his hand and he watches her exit from his car,
one pale hand in his, and the other holding her skirt.

Offering his arm, the odd pair stroll towards the
doors of Raindogs. Giger hopes that the Primogen is
indeed here, otherwise their stay could be quite short
