[Sanura]
"How did you and Dr. Tweaksbury meet?  It's one thing to read about the man, but it's another to hear about him from someone who got to work so closely with him.  What was he like?"

[Hiram]
"The most intelligent, and wisest man I've ever encountered, much less worked with," Hiram replied fondly. "He recruited me out of university for field work in Egypt..."

Hiram cut himself off as they were joined by two others. One he recognized from earlier that day... and week.

[John]
"I hope we're not interrupting, but as soon as I saw you were here," to Dr. Lazarus, "I thought I would come over and say hello. I don't think we got to finish our conversation," the man said.

[Sanura]
"No, no... please," 'Sandra' said to the new arrivals stepping courteously to the side for easier communication... 

"Dr. Lazarus and I were just talking about... common interests," she says as she takes another sip of her champagne.  She waits for Dr. Lazarus to make introductions to the new guests seeing as how they evidently know him.

[Hiram]
"Ahh, yes," Hiram said. "Hello again. This is Ms. Sandra Scoland," he says making introductions. "I remember you were looking over the tablets from Par Bast. I'm sorry that we didn't get to finish that discussion." He took another sip of his champagne. "So, what brings you to this..." he looked around at the suits, ties, and gowns, "event?"

(OOC- Assuming John has introduced her)

(OOC: Apologies - I did a little personal editing to give the post some continuity and also to mention the name Sanura is going by in public... Sandra Scoland. What's a Bastet without a few secrets of her own? :)
  (OOC-quite alright I looked at your earlier posts only after I hit 'send'; sorry 'bout that ;)  

Sanura aka Sandra Scoland has the look of a quintessential 'super model' (Appearance 4) with rich deep mocha colored skin, and hazel eyes. Her wavey hair is cut relatively short to a 'practical' length that doesn't need much maintenance.  It's the kind of hair style that just takes a little styling gel and she's ready to go. Her voice is lacking of any trace of accent whatsoever sounding thoroughly 'American'.  She is average in height at 5' 9" (not including the high heels she is currently wearing), and is beautifully leggy with a feline grace befitting her heritage.  She is wearing an ankle length silver grey gown with a deep plunge in the front and a low cut back. A slit goes all the way up her thigh emphasising her legs.  Needless to say, 'modesty' is not one of her strong points. :)

  
[Abby]
"Dr. Lazarus, Ms Scoland, so good to be meetin' you both. John was kind enough to give me a chance see Gotham's High Society at play." 

Her voice is soft with more than a touch of the Irish to it. So kitty, what tribe are you callin' your own?


  (OOC I cannot tell you what Sanura senses about Abby, thats up to Spikey she can tell though that there is something feline about her, her grace, her gaze, and something compelling (Animal Magnetism))

[Sanura]
Sanura meets Abby's gaze in unspoken recognition of another feline kindred spirit.  Her mind pondered what tribe this 'Abby' belonged to as she took another sip of champagne. There was a distinct irish accent for certain. A clue perhaps, but certainly not a confirmation by any means.  And this setting was certainly not the proper time to ask.  No, for now she would wait patiently and see what hands are played.  
    [Abby]
  Gazes back, there is a hint of mischief in her eyes.
  

[John]
John just smiled.  "Once upon a time I might have been a regular at these events, but nowadays I prefer tending my store, helping customers, and so on.  A friend of mine is in town and I want to show him a good time, and here we are."

  
He glanced at Abby.  "I have to say, I wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I am."  He returned his attention to the doctor and Ms. Scoland.  "I take when you speak of common interest you're refering to ancient Egypt.  The doctor and I earlier were discussing ancient history, though I tend to favor the Roman Empire.  One of my most prized possessions is a citizenship diploma earned by an ancient Roman, having served in the Legions."

  [Abby}
  "John does know how to show a girl a good time!" Her smile is brilliant, she turns up the voltage.
  Just how old are you, Mr. Black. Is that Citizenship yours? Of course I never seen a Roman so how would I know one?
   
  (Appearance 4 Animal Magnetism as well. She's saving her Gifts for later though.)
[Sanura]
"Really?" she asks perking up, genuinly interested. "I have some knowledge of that era, but my expertise leans towards the early egyptian dynasties. Dr. Lazarus and were just talking about his mentor and one of my personal inspirations, Dr. Tweaksbury. Where by chance did you study?" she asks the enigmatic gentleman standing before her.
