NachrichtThe Harlequin, Maurice
Ravnos , Serpent
Their own private piece of the bar at Club Harlequin
"Yess, ssere iss a lot of unfinished bussinesss wiss ssem. Not only, becausse ssey interloped on our territory, but alsso on a much deeper level. Wiss our kind," he indicated that he meant not only him and his kind, but their race in general, "ssome traitorss can be forgiven. Sseir treachery even be expected. But in ssome cassess, sse treachery reachess a level ssat cannot be tolerated. If it touchess sse fate of sse world, if your eyess 'ad been opened and you voluntarily choossse to turn your back on what you ssee, ssen only desstruction can ssuffisse for your treasson." He killed the cigar in the ashtray, a dangerous glimmer in his eyes.
The Harlequin listened to Maurice's speach, nodding in places. The Ravnos face remained impassive for him, giving away little of what he thought until the other Vampire was finished.
"The spirituality of Set's children is not mine to comment upon Betenoir. Its as personal as the Path we Ravnos walk and I can respect that. But I can dig what you say, some fools are just too dumb or too dangerous to let live. Others are just a waste of resources and a waste of the Unlife they've been given. Some people, and some things, are a drain on creation, a stain on all thats good and fun to be around. I've known more than a few that are overly worthy of destruction myself."
His youthful face was directed atthe bar, looking intot he ashtray and the remains of Maurice's cigar there. He seemed fascinated by its dying embers as he continued.
"And thats why I know about the trinket. I know that it was destroyed and the energies inside it moved on, because I destroyed it. What that energy did after I freed it, thats none of my concern. The Universe was never meant to be controled or understood and that thing was a link in the chain that does exactly that. Maybe it'll come back and bite one of us in the arse, that power, Good for it I say. So long as its out there, doing its thing like it was 'sposed to, I can live with any consequences."
The Harlequin has a glimmer in his own eyes, a burning light like that of the visionary preacher. Like a man with faith.
