  Hope Zagorski, Leon Wolf Dusk Towers "You already have Millet on your
payroll."  Hope says, finally putting the second gun back in her purse. 
"Why do you need me?"  >"Millet is indeed on our payroll. We have others
like him whom we controll through money,or information. But they are no
more trustworthy by selling thier souls to us as those who sell them to
the darkness. We play the same game of corruption at times and a higher
wage would have men like Milet turncoat in an instant. " Somehow, though,
Hope doubted Leon's assertion.  Cops like Millet, they generally
considered themselves above any sort of corruption.  Nor were they the
mercenary sort, but instead were loyal to a fault, and sometimes even
would transfer out of a unit so that they could follow a favorite
superior.   No, Millet was on their payroll for other reasons.   She
takes a step toward the door.   >"We would never invite Millet and his
kind to join us Hope, to face the rigours of initiation. They are simply
employed by us. "Initiation?"  That was a word he hadn't brought up
before now, and it concerned her.  What the hell was she getting into? 
"What exactly does that entail?"   An expression of worry crosses her
face, and she takes another step toward the door, but looks at Leon,
trying to search for some sign of deception on his part.  (Sense
Deception 2) >"What we are looking for Hope is not another bent cop we
have bought, but an equal. An ally in the fight!" Looking into his eyes,
Hope again feels the stirring of positive emotions.  She could trust what
he was saying.   His employers, whoever they were, wanted her as an ally,
not an adversary.  Even so, she was confused.  "I- I'm flattered, but I'm
not sure I should accept."    You should leave.  Hope inwardly tells
herself.   But for some reason, she didn't want to do that either.
