As they entered the mansion, Alessa kept her arm
tightly wrapped around the handsome Toreador's - not
from insecurity, but due to deep affection.  She felt
quite proud to be at his side.

The Koldun surveyed the vast, elegant room, wondering
if she would see any familiar faces and curious to see
who would have earned an invitation to such a swank
affair.
