"They did maybe I never learned much of what they did. So your statement may 
very well be accurate." He Said with a sort of thoughtful look on him. "I 
noticed the city is going through some changes in Downtown. Somebody get 
offed and now all the power is being thrown about?" 

Hannibaal noticed the switch in topic with a wry inner smile. He looks away from Tellos and at the rear of the bar with all its reflective surfaces. Taking note of what he sees, or doesn't see there, he turns back.

"Yes, all things are in flux tonight my Friend. The old guard has fallen and it is time for a new dance to begin. Montenegro and his ilk have been ushered in to fill a void in the power structure. To take up the dusty books and the badly fitting cowls and play ... well the games that they play!" The vampires eyes sparkle. "But perhaps you're not entirely party to the guilty secrets of that august group? I would so hate to speak out of turn about your friends, or to put my foot in it so to speak." 

The smile grows, along with Hannibaal's sense of his own self worth.

"I suspect that sword can be a heavy burden Mr Tellos. But then, I am sure one can bare much if he never has to look himself in the mirror no?"
