<< <"That is our first goal," The eshu said with a nod. "But we are heading
to
the whisperers to ask to access their trod. I remember one in the park, but
 the city has changed." >>

She smiled a short smile in response. Her mind had stolen her away for a
 moment and so she waited.

"Its there still!" Malone replied. "Part of the underground these days but
still in Sluagh hands. Theres no real landmarks nearby now but you can follow
the stream into the entrance tot he sewers and you'll be on the right track."
  >>

"Are you sure we want to use the energy?"

and she was back with the slightest tinge of apprehension. Malone could see
the smallest of changes in her, having spent more time with her and thus being
more aware of her being. She was an emotional creature but also very logical,
perhaps instinctual was a better way to put it. Ariñe was refering to the
glamour those sorts of things, trods, could take from them. Not to mention the
trouble she often ran into using trods being a chemerical magnet and all, some
strange and occasionally unpleasent things had followed her on many a trip. She
wasn't really sure why the girl had wanted to go that way to begin with. She
figured they could just show up, just go down to the funfair. Perhaps she knew
something Ariñe didn't.

"I mean,"

she realized, yet again, she might be speaking a little crypticly and turned
to really face Sachiko.

"maybe I'm missing something. why the trod?"

It was a genuine question and not at all belittling. She really wanted to
know why the kid was drawn to it, if there was a reason other than perhaps spead,
which experience told her wasn't always the wisest choice, nor the truth.
Sachiko, now that Ariñe was fully facing her, might notice that that ever present
animal had come forth more. Ariñe seemed to exude the animal that she was,
still quitely at this point but those instincts were being allowed to take over.
