A stock offering? Surprisingly, Nekos has never involved himself with  
the Wall Street manner of gambling, but it's never too late to learn  
a new game. He'll have to look into that later in the evening.

Nekos grins. "Despite my love for it, most seem to think my nine-to- 
five is about as interesting as a large wedge of damp cardboard. I'm  
a researcher--theoretical mathematics, mainly . . . I'll forgive you  
if you've already dozed off."

He winks at Abby, who's certain to understand why he mocks his  
vocation. 'Hey baby, I just published a paper on the applications of  
Ramsey's Theory to probabilistic modeling, wanna come back to my  
place?' never worked out very well.

"How about yourself, John?"
