Lady Lakshmi must certainly have placed the trio in front of Stephen  
for a reason, he decides as he wanders towards them casually. Not to  
be rude he waits for at least a momentary lull in their conversation  
before moving close enough to speak.

> off to a good start and yet I'm mistaken for an average every

"Excuse me," Stephen chimes in. "It occurs to me that the three of  
you make one of the more intriguing little cliques at this affair--do  
you mind if I join you?"

The newcomer is tall and of a thin but rather un-athletic build;  
somehow, his suit fits remarkably well. He's quite handsome, with a  
defined jaw and dark brown thoughtful eyes. By his demeanor and dress  
one would never know that this was in fact his very first Gotham party.
