 she paused but only for a moment
 
 "So... now? I mean..." She looks around the bar, still no idea of the time 
of night at this point. "Malone, I can't even tell the time in this place any 
longer." She smiled again, finding the humour in the absurdity of life in that 
one brief statment.
 
 "Ten after ten!" he replied looking at a gold watch. "I'm not saying rush 
out the door right now, but the reason I asked you is because you probably know 
when and where to find the likes of Max at this time. Or when the best time to 
seek his kind out might be. Maybe now would be a good time to at least go see 
Sachiko and plan who to see and when."
 
 "Ya' know and this will be the only time in your life so..." She looked up 
at him. Now a different, sly smile came to her "enjoy it. Just tell me what - 
now? Should I go find them now and see if anything can be learned or what?" she 
looked away momentarily but then back to him "tell me what you want me to do, 
sir, commander, lieutenent, detective. What 
 were you?"
 
 "A Detective!" he replied wistfully.  >>


She smiled at him warmly. She wanted to tell him that her  mother had been an 
officer of the peace but now wasn't the time. She ought to get moving she 
guessed but she was unsure of whether it was appropriate to run off. After all 
she had been preforming and to just run out... she wasn't sure if that was okay 
or not really.

"Should I just leave? Is that really right? I mean..."

She nodded towards the Booker and out into the bar. 

"Should I hit a couple more or would that be worse? kind of a tease?"
