[Sodium_noir] At the Temple

Late evening

There follows an awkward silence, finally broken by
Jack's realization that, in sitting up, the blanket
covering him had fallen to his waist.  The monks,
having taken his clothes to be laundered, hadn't given
him anything as a replacement.  He hastily pulls the
covering around his backside, blushing as he tries not
to look at Christine.   "Sorry....sorry..."  Jack
mumbles something else unintelligible and offers a
crooked half-smile.

"You shouldn't be ashamed of your nakedness!" Paulo remarked as he returned the bag to its place under his shirt. "Even with the alterations it is a healthy form to be clothed in. I think your body will do the rest but you'll not have to worry about secondary infections and the like. Some multivitimins perhaps and put some vaseline on those wounds. You're good to go!"

He stands and nods to Shang Mio, taking the old Monk by the hand. The girl rises with him, smiling briefly to Jack. 

"We cannot stay old friend, the hostel is quite full right now and its just us after midnight unless we can find money to pay the overtime. Glad we could help!" he turns to Jack and nods. "Maybe we'll call on you some time to help herd a few kids at a picnic or something by way of payment. Or maybe you'll pop over and advise some of the self harmers on how not to get infected." he winks and breezes out with his compaion.
