>Aurora nods appreciatively, though says nothing. Mingle... she almost
shudders... not something she liked to do.

Mara smiles. Perhaps Aurora would be fine with this arrangement after all.

>His eyes passed over Mara, Aurora, and their
companions. They lingered long enough as he tagged
each one of them as human or other (Perception +
Awareness = 6), making it obvious to the new arrivals
that he knew what they were, but without being
threatening.

The one's gaze was far too long. Mara notes. Almost as if he were taking their measure and knew exactly what they were. Strange though, he wasn't threatenting them. She turns her gaze on the man once more, trying to ascertain whether or not he had a heartbeat while she was invoking her Masquerade skills to make herself seem more human.

> As they reach Bennet, Mara smiles at him politely. "Good evening, Mr. Bennet." She will not press further unless the Malkavian does. He did still outrank her.
>
> After getting a response from Bennet, Mara catches a glimpse of the Prince, and tells Crosby that they should go say hello to the Prince. It would make a good impression, she hoped, a Brujah in the company of a Ventrue.
>
> For the moment, Mara tries to catch the Prince's eye, but she does wonder about who the dark-haired woman might be.

>She notes the other man notice her entry and wonders ((OOC: nod to
John's post and the reply there)) but she does continue to follow Mara
and Crosby, even copying her if Crosby allows her to hang on her other
arm for a moment.

Mara looks over and sees that Aurora had decided to tag along. She does not stop her though, for Crosby had graciously agreed to escort all of them, and if he wished to play the role, it was his choice. Besides, she'd had more than enough practice in Seattle with 'talking business' while in the presence of clueless mortals.

>A redhead with an air for the outdoors, a decent darkness about her
even this time of year, and shoulder-length hair done up in a small
bun, Aurora looks and feels slightly out of place for those who look
past the vintage dress she's wearing. For others she'd probably be a
welcome addition to the eye-candy.

Mara glances over to Aurora. She didn't look comfortable, but she looked quite lovely in the dress. Mara imagines for a moment what Christine might look like in that dress and smiles. The smile evaporates though, as she wonders how long it would be until she was able to banish Christine from the forefront of her thoughts.

[By the bye, another weekend away for me. See you all Sunday night]
