As Tommy opens his eyes and looks up, a soft smile
forms as he sees the lovely woman looking down at him.
"I'm fine. Tripping over Mike is not unusual. The
dog seems to enjoy his little jokes, even if no one
finds them funny."

Elizabeth nods. Well did she know how someone's
'joke' could cause injury to another. She offers him
a hand up, but he does not take it. Mayhap it were
for the best, for her hands were like ice, a reminder
that she were a creature long dead.

>The clerk struggles to his feet and moves to the cash
register. He looks through the purchases: blood,
sawdust, and the books, stopping at De Nigromancia.
"I can sell you everything right now except this last
book. It's on the bosses restricted list, and he's
going to want to clear it personally. I'd look the
other way if I could, but not on this."

Giger's expression darkens. He had hoped it would not
come to this. He debates the merits of using his
gifts upon the young man, but decides against it. But
if his boss had to approve it, then it was likely that
he would never possess it, because he was not about to
make a habit of becoming a frequent visitor of the
place. The area was too dangerous to visit at night.

>He looks at the other purchases. "I don't think you
have to worry about him refusing to sell it to you.
It's just he's more knowledgable than me, and he likes
to make sure that responsible parties are the ones who
obtain these materials."

"I hope this won't be a problem?" A little concern
sounded in Tommy's voice, though not sinister or
suspicious.

"No problem, my good man." Giger replies. "I
understand perfectly. I wouldn't want to see this
book fall into the wrong hands either." He looks to
Elizabeth, and extends a hand toward her, signalling
that she should join him. "However, it may be some
time before I can return in person." Looking around
the register, he finds a business card with the
store's name emblazoned on it, along with a phone
number. "Perhaps I could ring him another time? You
can deliver items to the local area, I assume?"

Giger then offers a charming and disarming smile as
Elizabeth gets up from the floor and takes her place
by his side. They had gotten what they'd came for,
that would have to be enough.
