As Tommy opens his eyes and looks up, a soft smile
forms as he sees the lovely woman looking down at him.
"I'm fine. Tripping over Mike is not unusual. The
dog seems to enjoy his little jokes, even if no one
finds them funny."
The clerk struggles to his feet and moves to the cash
register. He looks through the purchases: blood,
sawdust, and the books, stopping at De Nigromancia.
"I can sell you everything right now except this last
book. It's on the bosses restricted list, and he's
going to want to clear it personally. I'd look the
otherway if I could, but not on this."
He looks at the other purchases. "I don't think you
have to worry about him refusing to sell it to you.
It's just he's more knowledgable than me, and he likes
to make sure that responsible parties are the ones who
obtain these materials."
"I hope this won't be a problem?" A little concern
sounded in Tommy's voice, though not sinister or
suspicious.
Mr. Black valued his "professional" customers, and
worked hard to see their needs met. He made sure his
employees treated these customers they way they should
be through decent pay.
