that one moment hit her memory. "I think I know exactly what it cut through
first, before it hits the counter top", taking the last drag she throws the
roach to the floor, "I just have this gut instinct that the flesh is.....
was alive", she says with the slightest arch of her eyebrow, "and I have
another chilling feeling that I also know what kind of flesh it was".

Mara nods to her clanmate.  She had a pretty good idea too.   "Human, I'm guessing?  Probably severed the vocal cords so they couldn't scream?  Or drugged them?"  If she was right, that was a horrible way to die.  Far worse than the pain that followed on the heels of her Embrace.  Even seven years of unlife had failed to erase that memory.  But in the end, she was still...alive.  To a point.

Mara watches Arkana.  So, it seemed that she was a bit shaken too.  "So, shall I make some calls?"  Mara asks a second time.  "Like I said, I can't translate the words, so you'll need someone else's assistance.  Unless of course you know of any Warlocks in the city that would be willing to help?"   Mara hoped this was not the case.  Guiness' FAQ on the city had made no mention of the Tremere, other than their chantry being destroyed a while back.
