[Sodium_noir] Friday Night Continued

 *Arkana...Mara

*Mara nods.  "I know a couple.  There's a couple problems though.  First,
they're both in Cardboard City."  Mara wonders if Arkana cares that it is
Sabbat territory.  Second, one's a Priest of the Catholic variety."  She
doesn't mention what Panic is.  "If you're game, I'll call one of them and
see if they can help you out."*

*Mara's attention isn't entirely on the conversation. Something about the
tape recording nags at the edge of her mind. *

Arkana simply stares Mara back in the eye takes another drag, and continues
to stare at her waiting for a sort of answer. Card Board City. So what she
thinks, and she shrugs when Mara doesn't mention more about it.

*"Would you play it again .."*

*Arkana does as she is asked and Raven concentrates again. Her Auspex more
refined now she has thought about what troubled her. What she hears is
subtle, hardly captured at all. One voice in the congregation pauses every
so often and a soft but distinct thud is captured. The male voice leading
the chanting is doing something else. He leads the others but they know the
words and he is pausing or slowing down as he carries out some other
activity. The cadence of the word that follows hints at exertion. *

While Mara listens, and the other stands holding the tape recorder, Arkana
waits impatiently for Mara to fill her in on the obvious - she knows
something more.

*He is cutting something, or chopping more likely. She hears occasional
tearing sounds as he slices through whatever it is. The thud is something
metallic maybe as it makes contact with what? A table probably. As they
chant, he is chopping something up. Mumble mumble mumble thud mumble mumble.
*

The tape clicks to an end, and their silence is disturbed "Well, what was is
that you heard, now?"

[Apologies for using your Characters Ladies, but as I've been away from the
PC for a few days I felt it better not to hold you up with minor actions.]
